Mother’s day is around the corner! What better way to show your mom how “sweet” she is than to make her some “sweets!”
In Texas, whenever you go out to eat, inevitably, at the check out counter there is a display of Texas’ favorite candy, pecan pralines. They are a carmelized wonder; the perfect sweet ending to a meal.
A friend shared this recipe with me and it is a success every time I make it. Don’t be intimaded by making this confectionary treat!
Mix all ingredients in a Pyrex bowl and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Open the microwave door and stir. Cook for 4 more minutes. Open and stir. Add the pecans and vanilla. Stir again. Cover and cook 90 seconds. Remove and stir in the powdered sugar. Drop on wax paper individual mounds and cool completely. Wrap individually in plastic wrap. You can even seal with your own personal sticker.
