Gardening Tips
My hope is for all to receive sanctuary and encouragement, including hospitality venues and ideas, conversational meditations, and organic gardening tips. Topics will range from the deeply personal to the light and entertaining, but all with the purpose of uplifting you while encouraging you to think deeply.
Fresh Herb Sauce, or Salsa Verde
Most of us here in the USA are grilling some sort of meats for the July 4th long weekend, whether it’s fish, kabobs, ribs, steaks, or burgers.
Then Sings My Soul
I woke up with a smile on my face today. I must have been dreaming in Arabic, because I was singing in Arabic in my unmusical head the old hymn, “How Great Thou Art.” As I’m sitting here still basking in the gentle reminder of who I am, I consider the circumstances under which the hymn’s author wrote these lyrics, especially while we are experiencing sudden summer storms ourselves.
Caprese Salad
The Texas summer thermometer is ooching up there into the 100s for afternoon highs. I don’t want to heat up the kitchen and cook, so Caprese salad is a favorite solution and it takes advantage of tomatoes and basil at their peak of freshness.
