Here is the recipe for these delicious biscuits. I failed to include it in this post from a couple of weeks ago. Sorry!

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in shortening with either a pastry cutter or two knives. Stir in buttermilk and cheese. Don’t over mix! Scoop desired size of biscuits onto parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 400 for about 12 minutes or till golden brown. Melt butter, with seasoning. Brush over hot biscuits.


2 cups flour (can use gluten free flour mix)

1 T baking powder

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/3 cup butter flavored crisco

3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup buttermilk


1/3 cup melted butter

1 tsp dried parsley

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp italian seasoning
