Today is my grandsons, Jack and Luke’s, birthdays. In their honor, I’d like to share the recipe for one of their favorite chocolate cakes.
It is so very easy to make, and so very fancy to eat! I call it double trouble not because I our twins are double trouble, but because to a basic chocolate cake mix, I add “double” sources of chocolate decadence: chocolate chips and chocolate pudding.
Preheat the oven to 350. Simply combine all the recipe ingredients in a large mixing bowl, and mix well on medium speed until the eggs fluff up, all ingredients are combined well, and the batter changes color to a lighter shade. Grease and flour a large bundt pan. Pour in batter. Bake the cake for one hour or until a long toothpick or skewer comes out clean. Let the cake sit and rest for five minutes before turning it out on a cake platter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar for a pretty presentation before serving. This cake is extra delicious served warm with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
Who can resist a warm slice of chocolate cake?
