Gardening Tips
My hope is for all to receive sanctuary and encouragement, including hospitality venues and ideas, conversational meditations, and organic gardening tips. Topics will range from the deeply personal to the light and entertaining, but all with the purpose of uplifting you while encouraging you to think deeply.
Blueberry Buckle Coffee Cake
Blue berries are in season, so I buy a carton every week and then figure out how I’m goin to eat these unctuous, juicy, indigo blue jewels. Blueberry Buckle is a coffee cake. My oldest sister, a fabulous baker and cook, passed this recipe on to me years ago.
Memory Hugs
My mom is passed. What I have are stories, stories stacked on top of each other: piled by my reading chair like a precarious coffee table, stories neatly categorized and displayed in albums, and stories typed and filed away as keepsake letters. Stories carry memories and connect us to each other like charms on a charm bracelet.
Celebrate Fresh Herbs; Make Cucumber, Mint, and Yogurt Salad
I have a forest of herbs this spring! I was initially concerned that our extended deep freezes this year killed them, but it’s done the opposite! These perennial herbs are outrageously tenacious.
