We all have an autumn and winter within us. Be patient with those seeds laying dormant. Their time will come to sprout and grow in due season!
February gardening is a time for browing through seed catalogues and dreaming big dreams. The problem is, I just have so much finite space! Therefore, the dreams morph into pared down plans.
I’ve ordered my tried and true seeds: yardlong green beans, a variety of peppers, armenian cucumbers (mikte), spineless okra, as well as a variety of french marigolds, and zinnias. The one new seed for us is an upright yellow squash, not a vine. Imagine that?!?! I normally don’t plant squash because of squash borers and the fact that we get plentiful squash types from Mexico. However, we’re really excited to try something new.
I also want to add tarragon and a Mexican oregano bush to my herb garden.
What new seed will you try this year?
What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body of something else, but God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.
