My daily egg harvest gives me so much joy! The whole undertaking of visiting my chickens every morning reminds me to grab the preciousness of each moment, to live in the present, and to pay attention. I’m reminded to not rush through a task, negatively dressing it as a chore to be checked off. Am I guilty of thinking, “what do I have to do next?”

It’s been a few weeks since my sister’s passing. I receive phone calls daily from those loved ones who want to be reassured that I’m OK. Somedays I pour out my angst, rage, sadness, and tears. Other condolence sessions are not as verbose.
